The Role of Media in Social Media Friday, June 18, 2010 Time: 8:30am – 2:30pm

Sponsored by NJSocialMedia.com, the conference is designed for new and experienced users of social media and is open to anyone interested in learning more about social networking and online media. The theme for the conference is "The Role of Media in Social Media" which takes a look at the convergence of traditional and new media and explores trends in multimedia and content creation.
Scheduled speakers include David Mathison, author of Be The Media, Alan Levy, CEO of BlogTalkRadio, and a pre-recorded presentation by Gary Vaynerchuk, Wine Library TV and author of Crush It!.
Panel discussions will include a Media Panel Discussion with members of the local media, a separate afternoon track for Government, Non-Profit and New Users of Social Media featuring members of the government, non-profit organizations to discuss their strategy planning, implementation, and best practices, and a separate Break-out Roundtable Discussion for Intermediate and Advanced Users of Social Media featuring the NJ Social Media Hall Fame Finalists and Inductees
